You can get free fractional shares on Trading 212 worth up to £100 by using a referral link or a promo code, and all you need to do is deposit at least £1. Here are the full instructions:
- Open an 'Invest' account or 'Stocks ISA' on Trading 212
- Deposit at least £1
- Click the menu, then click 'Use promo code', then add the code FIN

Free shares are fractional. This means you are likely to get a smaller portion than a whole share because shares often cost more than the £100 maximum reward you can get. For example, you might receive 0.05 shares in Tesla, which would be worth $20.19 at the time of writing (share price: $403.84). You might receive multiple shares if the company has a low share price.

How much will your free share be worth?
The promotional shares are worth between 8 and 100 GBP/EUR/USD.
The value of your free fractional shares will be assigned randomly based on the probabilities below:

Can you sell the share and withdraw?
Yes! You are allowed to sell your share – instantly if you wish. You can withdraw the cash after 30 days.
Can you choose which shares you get?
No, the free fractional shares are randomly allocated to your account. If you wish to have shares in a specific company, you could always sell the free shares you receive, then rebuy shares in another company.
Why didn't I receive my free fractional shares?
It can take up to three business days to receive your free fractional shares if all criteria are met. Criteria includes verifying your ID and making the minimum deposit of at least £1.
If you don't wish to wait, you can enter the promo code FIN via the menu.
If you have verified your account, made the minimum deposit and used the promo code but still not received your free share, there may be other reasons stopping your account from being credited.
There are various terms that apply that could stop the promo code from working: for example you might have already opened an account in the past, or your account might have been opened more than 10 days ago.
Can existing users use the promo code?
Existing users can claim free fractional shares by using the promo code FIN, but only within their first 10 days of signing up. After this time, your eligibility will have ended and the shares cannot be claimed.
For the Cash ISA promo code, existing customers cannot claim the boosted rate. Only new customers can claim the increased interest rate within the Cash ISA.
Where will this code work?
This code works in all of Trading 212's regions, including the UK and Europe.
If you claim the code inside your UK Stocks ISA, the free share will be credited there (and will contribute to your annual ISA deposit limit). If you claim it inside your Invest account, it will be credited there instead.
