As someone who is not very knowledgeable about the financial world, I found this course to be very informative and accessible. Damien did an excellent job of breaking down complex concepts into easy-to-understand lessons, making the material approachable for everyone.

I think this is an invaluable course that you should be proud of, this really is the kind of information that really should be taught in mainstream education but sadly is left for people to discover for themselves – often at a price – therefore the fact you’re providing such a resource for free is admirable.

Short and sweet and explains the jargon in an easy to understand way.

As a beginner myself I have found the course very useful. I found the content was delivered in a well structured manner, for me watching and listening is my preferred learning style.

An excellent guide for beginners to grow their investing knowledge! Contains sufficient detail without becoming overly complex. There is a lot to take in, multiple viewings may be prudent.

You have kept it clear and concise with no unnecessary filler – as a teacher myself, that it is always something I am trying to achieve and encourage in my students. Keeping things clear, understandable and accessible is the key. You have definitely managed that in your usual open and honest way.

It does an incredible job of breaking down what can often feel like an overwhelming and intimidating topic. The explanations are clear, concise, and approachable, making the world of investing in ETFs so much more accessible.

I am a complete novice in the world of investment and find it very hard to decipher. Your course is the first time I have felt that this world makes sense to me. It didn’t feel like an info dump, the mixture of animation and talking head worked really well to keep me engaged. I loved your format of short sessions on each topic. For anyone without much time or a short attention span, they can pick up and put this down with ease. I also loved how ‘balanced’ the course was, as in there wasn’t any bias one way or the other. I’ve been investing for around 4-5 years now, since beginning in my late 20s, so I wasn’t necessarily expecting to learn an awful lot that I wasn’t already aware of. I found this course to be very worthwhile – even as somebody who isn’t strictly a novice investor. The information presented was clear and concise and delivered in a fashion that I found easily consumed and highly relatable.

Really great course, well worth a couple of hours. Loved the modular approach and shortness of the individual videos. Made it accessible for my limited attention skills. I have been investing for a couple of years now, mostly in ETFs, it reinforced lots I already know and I learnt a few new things.

Did the course in an evening and I loved that the modules were all in bite-size pieces, mostly between 2 and 5 minutes. It really encourages you to continue doing it and not to feel any overwhelm or decide to put it off to another day. Good that you stressed the potential volatility and underlined that you could lose 40% of your money in a year, it’s important that beginners have their eyes open to the risks.

I thought the course was very good, it’s very easy to understand. I already knew a lot of the information you gave but thought it would be very useful to show my to kids who have no idea, they’re just 22 and 25 and just starting out. Thank you.

I am at a retirement deaccumulation phase of my life and sorting out my pensions to put them into one pot at the moment, which needs reinvesting again. So this course comes in the right time whilst I am in the process, making some things much more clearer.
